New York Season Opening:
Oct. 8 - 11, 2026
The NY fall season traditionally begins during the ideal weather of early October with the highly anticipated Opening Night of Carnegie Hall. We are able to include that sold-out event again this year, when the revered Berlin Philharmonic will be the Guest Orchestra under the baton of Music Director Kirill Petrenko. The soloist will be the German romantic tenor, Jonas Kaufmann offering an array of Italian operatic arias. This will be followed by a second Carnegie Hall concert with Petrenko leading his ensemble in a program of Brahms and Richard Strauss. Our MET Opera performances will be the eagerly anticipated new production of Verdi’s Macbeth being mounted for the ideal pairing of Lise Davidsen and Quinn Kelsey; and Mozart’s Così fan Tutte – “one of the composer’s most sublime creations” (MET Opera) – with a brilliant ensemble cast.
Repeating our choice of accommodations in recent years, we will again be staying (for four nights) in a private club ideally located within easy walking distance of our performances. For more information about these accommodations, please click the link below to see a complete description.
Further details will be included in our Final Itinerary a month prior to the Tour.
