The NY fall season traditionally begins during the ideal weather of early October with the highly anticipated Opening Night of Carnegie Hall. We are able to include that sold-out event again this year, as well as a trio of MET OPERAS. First will be the Premiere of the MET’s long overdue new production of Bellini’s ‘bel canto’ La Sonnambula.  In addition, everyone comes to the MET for grand stagings and superlative casts, which will surely be the case for Puccini’s Turandot in the iconic Franco Zeffirelli staging and Mozart’s classic Don Giovanni conducted by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. (While our NY Tours usually include 4 nights, we have expanded this one to 5 nights to fit our 4 chosen performances.)

Accommodations for five nights will be at the private New York Athletic Club (NYAC), beautifully located on Central Park South (59th street at 7th Avenue). The NYAC offers pleasant, comfortable bedrooms and many advantages of a large, private club: a spacious dining room overlooking Central Park from the 11th floor; friendly bars on the main floor and in the second-floor Tap Room which serves convenient meals; and the best-equipped large swimming-pool in the city.

An early dinner will be enjoyed on the first evening of each weekend, which will provide an opportunity to meet other members of the Tour. A second lunch or dinner will be planned near the NYAC or convenient to Lincoln Center. We will also include a Metropolitan Museum Pass to be used at your own leisure.
