Our early summer Italian Tour will begin with four nights in Verona for a trio of Giuseppe Verdi’s melodic operas in spectacular productions in the ancient outdoor Roman Arena – his earliest major success, Nabucco; the ‘middle period’ masterwork, La Traviata; and the Festival’s unmissable signature staging of Aida. After Verona’s late nights, our 2026 itinerary boasts our first-ever visit to the Grand Hotel Menaggio, where we will relax for two nights in this peaceful haven on Lake Como. Finally, we are once again able to overlap with the of La Scala’s season in the Lombardian capital of Milan (one night), where our immersion in Italian opera will culminate with Gaetano Donizetti’s most popular work, Lucia di Lammermoor.
